Lyn Robins

A multi award winning artist, working as a painter in a wide range of mediums and subjects Lyn has participated in many joint and solo exhibitions.

If asked to define her approach to her work she would describe herself as an Impressionist Realist. Inspired by the world around her, she delights in attempting to capture the ever changing wonders of sea and landscape. Still life, flowers and interiors also interest her as subjects to paint.

Having taught painting at secondary and tertiary levels, (working at TAFE for many years), in 1994 Lyn returned to UNI and studied Jewellery Design. Her jewellery is innovative, often using unexpected materials to create individual, wearable art.

For 25 years Lyn taught painting classes in her Tranmere Studio. Although no longer teaching regularly, she is available for demonstrations, workshops and weekend schools .

Her work is represented in private and public, collections, both locally and overseas.(including Bank of SA ,RSASA and UNI of SA).

Vice President of The South Australian Water Colour Society, on the committee of Off The Slate Gallery, member Adelaide Art Society and an Associate member of the Royal South Australian Society of Art, Lyn formally served on the board of The Friends of the South Australian School of Art.
